Wanted: Office Production Assistant/Runner (to start in January)
About the position:
The Office Production Assistant’s role is to support both the corporate and production teams. The PA minds the phones, faxes documents, assists with photocopying, processes purchase orders and maintains cleanliness in common areas. The ideal candidate is outgoing, enthusiastic to learn about all the facets of animation production, and very attentive to detail.
Responsibilities and duties:
Front reception – answer phone calls, fax, scan and photocopy
Ship/receive mail and courier packages and distribute to appropriate departments
Coordinate lunch meetings for various departments
Maintain the upkeep of crew kitchens and replenish kitchen supplies as needed
Perform light maintenance tasks as needed, such as replacing light bulbs, refilling toilet paper, cleaning out work areas, etc.
Maintain appropriate stock of office supplies and paper through weekly ordering
Run errands for the office – pick up lunches, drop off Fed Ex, pick up supplies, etc.
Transcribe scripts for closed captioning
Use Adobe Photoshop to crop storyboard panels and create files for Pre-Production Editor
Scan designs on an ongoing basis as necessary
Assist management team with administrative tasks and other duties as they arise
Qualifications and competencies:
Must have a reliable vehicle and clean driving record
Enthusiastic and organized
Proactive and eager to take on any task
Excellent attention to detail and expert coordinating skills a must
Thrive in a high pressure, deadline-oriented environment
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (both verbal and written)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
Able to lift 50 lbs or more
