Job Title: Visual Communications Intern
For the launch of an innovative smartphone accessory, a new company based in Durham region, is seeking one or two talented young designers for an internship. The successful applicant(s) will be completely in charge of the creation of our corporate identity and it’s pilot product’s brand integration. The product has unique challenges, and solves a variety of problems, however there is a small learning curve associated with the product. The challenge for the designer entails succinctly shortening this learning curve prior to purchase. This opportunity entails the graphic design and technical implementation of online and offline marketing material. We’re looking for the successful applicant(s) to (at their discretion) either improve the existing branding, or do a complete overhaul. This includes all the popular elements of branding, logo, slogans, fonts, colors, wording, business cards, etc.
The applicant(s) will work closely with the engineers who designed the product, and the industrial designers finishing the product. If the successful applicant(s) is looking to learn the technical side of web design and graphic design implementation our team will be accommodating. The integration with operations, brand strategy and business development, through intimate discussions with the founders, advisors and investors, is the primary nature of this internship opportunity.

- Experienced with popular graphic design software
- Minor travel (reimbursed for mileage/parking/public transit)
- Experienced with Wordpress
