Cruise Connections has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Travel Consultant to join their Vacation Planning Team in Vancouver, BC.
Within this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the booking and processing of all non cruise arrangements such as air, hotel, tour and shore excursions for both individuals and groups. In addition, this role has responsibility for all company staff travel arrangements.
- Advising customers on available products;
- Developing and fostering client relationships to encourage natural repeat business;
- Providing first class customer service from query to closing the sale and following up; and
- Developing expertise in assigned products/vendors and destinations.
To qualify for this role, you will have a minimum of three to five years retail travel agency experience, with additional experience in a supervisory or management position preferred.
Strong working knowledge of the Amadeus reservation system and a solid background in dealing with published and net air fares is essential. Experience booking cruise and/or group travel will be held in high regard.
The role requires individuals with excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail who can work in a fast paced, call centre environment. You will have a proven record of excellent customer service while meeting and exceeding sales targets and quotas.
Salary: negotiable, depends on experience
