  • Develop and implement a plan to recruit mentors within their school
  • Promote mentoring program and recruit mentors within their school
  • Liaison between the mentor and mentees and the staff mentor recruiter, reporting on

progress or issues that may need to be addressed that they may not be able to deal with

  • Promote and plan mentoring events
  • Assist in training and workshops
  • Meet with mentors and mentees before or after school, or at lunch to monitor the


  • Distribute surveys and assist with evaluation of the program

Time required will be flexible hours, paid $12 an hour, with some weeks requiring additional hours and others requiring less with the anticipated average of 5 hours per week.

  • Minimum grade 11 student (must be a high school student in Port Colborne)
  • Available for a full year
  • Provide references (family, friends, coaches, teachers are acceptable)
