Surveillance Investigator

Position / Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a team of investigators within the Surveillance and Insurance Division of a national investigation firm. You will be performing surveillance within the guidelines, policy, and procedures of both the Company and our Clients.

Surveillance Investigators report to the Case Managers & Field Manager representatives.

Conduct field operations/ surveillance
Ensure file objectives and goals are achieved.
Provide assignment progress reports to Managers
Accurate documentation of file activity / writing detailed reports
Use video and digital media to gather evidence
Ensure motor vehicle and equipment kit is “operationally ready” at all times
Adaptable and flexible to a wide array of duties and scheduling
Assist the various investigative divisions as required

This is a position with the largest investigative firm in Canada and there is ample opportunity for advancement into various investigative divisions within the Company. Related experience and second languages are considered a valuable asset. Availability is paramount as is the ability to work flexible hours without a schedule.

You must possess an Investigators license for the province of Alberta or be willing to obtain the requisite training to become a certified Investigator.

You must have a reliable vehicle and a clear criminal record.

Knowledge of privacy laws, criminal code, insurance, and legal arenas are an asset. Areas of related experience include investigations, security and loss prevention.

You must have a strong work ethic with a high level of attention to detail.

Training & equipment will be provided.

Compensation will be an hourly rate commensurate with experience and/or education, as well as a set mileage rate. There are health/dental benefits available after 3 months of full time employment.
