As a Senior Store Clerk you coordinate the activities of the store during assigned shifts on behalf of management. You provide excellent service to guests and fulfill various sales and production roles within the store. You provide assistance to the Manager by directing assigned tasks and are responsible for store opening/closing and daily reporting. Responsible for authorizing payment and return merchandise, the Senior Store Clerk resolves problems as they arise and provides ongoing training and monitoring of staff. When performed effectively, this position will reduce losses and maximize sales and profitability by maintaining high standards in sales, merchandising, marketing, displays, promotions, guest service and public relations.
Our ideal candidate must have a minimum Grade 10 or another combination of education and experience equivalent along with 2-5 plus years’ experience with cash procedures, pricing and sorting procedures, and product display and promotion guidelines. Our ideal candidate is a retail enthusiast who is action oriented and focused on guest service. A proficient communicator who thrives on building relationships and an effective problem solver who maintains their composure and applies superior process management skills in the achievement of established objective. You will need to be computer literate with Microsoft Office suite, internet, and basic office equipment.

You can expect joining a hands-on work environment where you will be required to physically move through our operation while adhering to daily goals. We are operational 7 days a week, however, our store are opened for shopping Monday to Saturday. We schedule our employees based on operational needs - days, evenings and weekends (*note Sundays we are opened to receive donations). As a Senior Store Clerk you will be expected to work every other weekend, sale days and evenings as required.
