Supports Retail Sales and the Retail Sales Operations Group through insight driven analysis of retail activities, report development and maintenance to support and drive business decisions and efficiencies.
Provides analysis, insights and recommendations on a variety standardized weekly business reports to the Retail Sales Organization (Nielsen, POS, Postal Code, Promotion Analysis, Flyer Tracking)
Maintains databases to ensure up-to-date, accurate information
Manages vendor contracts and renewals related to retail data services and technology (Client POS contracts, ECCNet, Toolbox Solutions etc.)
Support the Retail Sales Operations team and the Retail Sales Organization with requests for information, providing insights and recommendations
Works with National Category Development Manager to deliver training (analysis, data management software) to Retail Sales Organization and Head Office.
Continuously improve sales-based analysis through leadership, effective management, training and support of systems and processes such as: Business Objects (SAP) and Nielsen.
Knowledge and Experience
Minimum 3+ year’s relevant sales or analyst experience with a multi-national company
Expertise with Microsoft (Access, Excel, Power Point, Word), Nielsen Workstation Plus, Wal-Mart Retail Link , Database Management, SAP and Business Objects applications
Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the consumer goods industry
Proven experience initiating and managing projects from implementation to completion
Ability to identify trends and deliver insights from the retail environment, inventory and market using fact based data
Possesses strong problem solving, project planning and analytical skills for high performance teams in a cross-functional environment.
Experience completing promotion analysis with a broad range of retail sales promotions, multiple markets and various trade customers
Ability to develop and work with individuals and teams in a complex changing environment to deliver results. Actively solicit feedback to drive improvements.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Possesses strong determination, integrity, initiative and personal motivation and organization skills.
BA or BCommerce, Marketing or related field
