Salary Range: $53,614 – $59,771 per year

Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Child Abuse Registry Check is a condition of employment.

Must have minimum valid 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate as per the Power Engineers Act and recognized by the Government of Manitoba. Experience with operating and maintaining High Pressure Steam Plant and supporting ancillaries essential. Must have experience with Building Automation Systems including heating ventilation and air conditioning and direct digital control. Knowledge with Workplace Safety and Health Act essential. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills essential. Must have ability to work in a team environment and independently. Must have strong analytical and decision making skills. Experience working with standby Emergency Generators and Fire Alarm/Fire Suppression systems desired. Experience in a 1st or 2nd Class Steam Plant desired.

Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's licence and able to travel within the district. Must be able to provide satisfactory criminal record check, child abuse registry check. Must be able to work in restricted and/or confined spaces. Able to work shift work including weekends and statutory holidays. Must be physically capable of performing required duties of the position such as heavy lifting, climbing stairs/ladders, walking, crouching and crawling.

Duties: Reporting to the Chief Engineer, incumbent is responsible for safe and efficient operation of 2nd Class High-Pressure Steam Heating Plant and ancillaries for buildings. Will respond to various alarms, client requests, preventative maintenance and emergencies. Will maintain and repair equipment and associated ancillaries.
