The .NET Developer’s role is to participate in the planning, coordination, and solution development and implementation activities related to web based development and technologies. Proven communication skills, problem-solving skills, proficiency in web development language, framework, and knowledge of web development best practices are critical to successful performance in this role.


  • Participate in planning of projects and corresponding strategies between business units and development teams;
  • Perform detailed business requirement gathering process with key stakeholders and end users in order to provide them with a solution that best meets their needs;
  • Strive to provide development solutions that exceeds the stakeholders requirements by providing innovative suggestions to create more efficiencies within the business area;
  • Provide web application framework and recommendations to business how how to best organization web page layouts and flow-through;
  • Identify and resolve systems issues;
  • Develop standards and processes to support and facilitate application projects and initiatives;
  • Participate in testing phase of web applications under development in order to identify and remedy potential problem areas;
  • Build relationships with other application analysts to gain an understanding of application architectures and required functionality;
  • Design, develop, and deploy solutions within the organization’s architectural principles, policies, and guidelines;
  • Ability to reverse engineer legacy web applications to provide new updates and modify existing solutions;
  • Provide clear and thorough end user documentation as well as application support documents for the web development applications to include in the company’s knowledge base;
  • Implement audit, logging, and monitoring solutions to provide proactive operational support in the web development environment;



  • Four-year college diploma or university degree in computer science or computer engineering, and/or minimum 4 years equivalent work experience.
  • Certifications in .NET and other Microsoft technologies desirable
  • Proven experience in .NET development and maintenance of web applications

  • 4+ years direct experience in .NET application development;
  • Proven experience in overseeing the development and maintenance of multiple web application solutions;
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modeling/mapping and methodology development;
  • Experience with core software applications, Microsoft SQL Server, IIS, Windows Administrative Tools and Services; as well as Microsoft CRM, Microsoft Dynamics Navision, PHP being an asset;
  • Technically fluent in programming languages, including .NET, C#, ASP, JavaScript, CSS and HTML
  • Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques;
  • Competency with XML constructs and schemas;
  • Understanding of end-user needs and requirements;
  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives
