Shift : 7:00am-3:00pm &/or 3:00pm-11:00pm &/or11:00pm – 7:00am
Pay Rate: $ 23.00 - $27.00
Location: QEW and Dorval Drive, Oakville

Reporting to the Supervisor of Production Control, the Kitter is responsible for storage, issuance and the inventory management of the assembly area.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain inventory records associated with inventory and the

business system data

  • Stocks materials according to the business system; issuance of material using

business system

  • Plans and performs work that involves cycle counting, receiving, shelving,

packing, labeling, issuing and delivering inventory

  • Responsible for all material and inventory accuracy, identifying problems and

developing corrective actions in conjunction with other team members as required

  • Provide timely support to production; provides AOG support as required
  • Rotates stock and manages shelf life controlled items
  • May operate a FORKLIFT or other light equipment (crane) used in moving heavy items
  • Demonstrated willingness to assume responsibilities, ownership of issues while

communicating with others

  • Attend daily LDMS and other meetings as required
  • Participate in CI activities
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and be team orientated
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications* :

  • High School diploma or educational equivalent OR three or more years prior

Material Handling / Storekeeping / Inventory Control experience

  • Understanding of inventory management, materials handling, picking orders,

cycle counting, storing received inventory, etc.

  • Forklift certification would be considered an asset; overhead crane operating experience
  • Strong PC skills (ERP systems, MS Office applications)
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced

team environment

  • Strong persistence in seeking out information and the ability to expedite in order

to meet deadlines for internal/external customers

  • Lifting required (up to 40 lbs ) & ability to remain on your feet during an entire shift
  • Successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP
