Reporting to the leader of TES Methods, the successful candidate will be the recognized TES Methods Solution Lead, Leading and contributing to a team of Architects, Specialist accountable for delivering a wide range of Enterprise Assets and contributing to the knowledge base of TES, its practices, standards and governance.
More specifically in this role you will:

Understand the context, use and appropriateness of patterns
Experience with Business Process Management and associated activities
Workflow, task management, business rules management, document management, business activity monitoring specially with PEGA
Experience in architecting and delivering process-oriented solutions.
Proven experience in working with Operations solution and architecture
High-availability, failover and disaster recovery
Capacity / performance management
Solid understanding of SOA
Solid understanding of Data modeling
Able to differentiate conceptual from logical from physical models
Operational data stores
Data warehouses / marts
XSD, XSLT, WSDL, JASON and XML derivatives especially to support Service-orientation
Experience with RDBMS, DB2 (both Z and distributed versions), Oracle, Access would be valuable
Able to solution, architect and support complex integration solutions
Proven experience in working with Architectural tools such as Rational Architecture or Sparx
Solid understanding of multi-channel requirements
Able to lead teams to gather input on continuous improvement
Focus on process improvement, while maximizing efficiency and effectiveness
Able to minimize operational, reputational and proprietary risks
Provide solutions and technical guidance and oversight to Methods Projects, develop and maintain reusable technology solutions
Work with Line of Business (LOB)s, architects, specialist, developers to gather reusable assets ,requirements and develop solutions which are consistent with the architectural direction of the services and ensure the end solution tightly integrates within the framework of the overall LOB solution
Solid understanding of Enterprise Asset Inventory
Work with Line of Business (LOB)s, architects, specialist, developers to harvest and create a central enterprise reusable assets, identify the gaps and create heat map
Contribute to building and re-use of shared components
Support both functional and non-functional activities to help categorize assets into dev-ops/configuration/infrastructure/development/deployment assets, gaps, and usability matrix
Research/analyze reusable assets to evaluate and recommend/recognized reusable assets
Apply industry/technical knowledge to provide new reusable assets/solutions
Review/provide direction in the formation of enterprise asset development specifications, asset technical requirements, asset system performance objectives and identify required enhancements/modifications to meet objectives
Participate in pre and post asset implementation reviews, ensure data accuracy
Lead, Contribute and Participate in Forum meetings
Contribute to meeting key TES Methods milestones and overall deliverables on time, within budget, and adhering to relevant standards
Provide direction/guidance to the TES Methods project team(s) to deliver the projects timely and on budget using resource management, Clarity and Carpe tools
Understand key advantages enabled by multi-platform architectures
Experience with architecture frameworks- In particular TOGAF
Familiarity with Hadoop is an asset

More generically in this role you will:

Document the current, target and identify the heat map for enterprise assets
Implement a Forum committee to prioritize and approve TES Methods projects
Work with the TES Methods Forums and team to develop strategies on how to best leverage Assets for TD enterprise
Plan and lead the implementation of the Governance model defined by TD such that it is integrated into the existing governance structure in TD
Establish enterprise asset policies for services and ensure their usage in the organization
Establish enterprise asset metrics by holding metrics setting sessions with key participation in the organization. Develop strategies and implement the strategy to report on the enterprise asset metrics.
Develop review and gating checklists for TD enterprise assets and apply the checklist to related projects in the Bank.
Develop key enterprise assets artefacts
Work with Delivery Excellence to integrate the artefacts into the SDLC
Govern the usage of the artefacts by reporting exceptions for inappropriate usage. Work with variety of TD LOB teams to ensure appropriate usage of artefacts.
Participate with and support the TES Methods strategy and planning in establishing and continuously refreshing the TES Methods Strategies
Interface with leaders at all levels up to and including CIO’s and all organizations including line of business and Corporate groups to gather requirements
Able to translate business concepts and strategy to technology imperatives and designs

Job Requirements:

Extensive experience in leading architectural solutions and governance efforts over at least 5 years.
Proven understanding of BPM
Proven understanding of general Governance
Proven understanding of architecture and solutions within a Financial Institution systems
Demonstrated relationship building, and leadership skills with a superior ability to make things happen through the use of influence and strong relationships within the federated model

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

University or Post Graduate degree
Expert Solution/Architecture skills and functional knowledge in the discipline
Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
A professional approach, ability to interact with all levels within the organization and build productive relationships
Very good to excellent written and verbal communication / presentation skills.
Strong negotiation and influencing abilities
Extensive direct experience in the design, development and operation of distributed technologies in a large enterprise environment.
Experience in financial services would be advantageous
Self starter with proven technical team leadership and technology vision.
Sound, current technical knowledge and experience in application, infrastructure and information architecture design.
Process, tools and techniques knowledge re: architecture governance and system integration methodologies.
Excellent logical thinking skills possessing the ability to prepare logically structured papers.
Able to multi-task in a very dynamic environment.
Very good to excellent written and verbal communication / presentation skills.
Comfortable communicating technical concepts to peers, business groups or executives.
A detailed understanding of TD’s application and infrastructure landscape is an asset.
Excellent networking, relationship building and influencing skills.
Strong leadership skills.
Broad knowledge of IT technology and the ability to effectively manage staff and consultants with a wide range of technical expertise.
