Our government client is currently seeking a qualified candidate for an Interior Designer position:

Language: Unilingual
Clearance: Secret Clearance

Typical duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Provides interior design services support, including partition planning, furniture layouts, co-ordination of: style, finishes, materials and colour for interior architectural and interior design elements, and furniture and furnishings for assigned projects.
  • Undertakes assigned routine, small-scale interior design furnishings maintenance activities that may encompass refurbishment, repair or replacement.
  • Assist senior interior designers with preparation of administrative and procurements documents, purchase orders and material files.
  • Assist interior designers with the preparation of design concept presentation material through the use of MS PowerPoint and Sketch-up software.
  • Assist senior designers with update and tracking financial expenditure, project schedules, warehouse and shipping information for interior design projects and services.
  • Prepares, organizes and maintains design records, files, samples, catalogues, and other information products.
  • Delivery of small-scale and routine interior design project support to senior interior designers in assigned interior design, refurbishment, maintenance and other projects.
  • Provision of administrative services to Project Interior Designers.
  • Deliverables are to be produced using the following software applications:

o AutoCAD
o Google Sketch up
o Microsoft Office Suite
o Adobe acrobat
o Adobe Photoshop
o Integrated Management System (IMS)

Mandatory Qualifications:

Education:

  • Secondary school diploma is required
  • A College degree in Interior Design

Experience:

  • Must have a valid Government of Canada Secret or higher security clearance
  • A minimum of two (2) years in providing Interior Design Services related to office spaces and residential accommodations for international projects (project abroad)
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ experience producing presentation material for architects and interior designers traveling abroad.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in each of the following applications:

o AutoCAD
o Google Sketchup
o Microsoft Office Suite
o Adobe acrobat
o Adobe Photoshop
o Integrated Management System (IMS)
