Bilingual Instructional Designer (French/English)

Dimension & Scope:
Effectively design adult classroom learner and facilitator materials and post- training follow-up in support of client programs to ensure superior workforce preparation; specifically implementation new-hire; on-going new-hire; and other continuing education for Representative level.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze the training setting, characteristics of the learners and client training needs.
Identify student deficiencies and formulate recommendations for improvement.
Suggest alternative delivery methods/approaches.
Interact with the client and understand their needs and requests.
Assist with designing technical and systems training.
Develop lessons for new training programs.
Write, sequence, and prioritize learner objectives.
Assist with development of instructional materials for participants and facilitators, and performance measurements.
Demonstrate effective presentation skills including creative training techniques, and adult/accelerated learning techniques.
Monitor the implementation of courses and coordinates the input from ongoing variance analysis to update the instructional system.
Assist in the ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness, efficiency and appeal of the instructional system.
Translation of various documents (English and French)
Education & Professional Certifications:
Two to three years curriculum design or related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Fluent in English and French (written and oral)
Strong process orientation (able to thoroughly comply with processes, and look for opportunities to streamline).
Demonstrates a sense of urgency with deliverables, and immediately eliminates roadblocks (lack of or conflicting information, technology issues, etc.)
Experience facilitating meetings/learning sessions (virtual/face-to-face).
Expert command of MS Office.
Ability to work flexible shifts as required by program points of contact.
Prior involvement in developing performance improvement/training initiatives with measured outcomes.
Knowledge of creative training techniques, adult learning, and accelerated learning.
Experience capturing tools simulations in Captivate 4 (or higher).
