*Store Manager
Glentel – Samsung Retail Store*

We are looking for an experienced Store Manager with a passion for technology for a full-time opportunity in Glentel’s standalone Samsung electronics retail store in West Edmonton Mall!

SCOPE OF POSITION:

Reporting to the District Sales Manager, the Sales Manager is responsible for directing and controlling all aspects of store operations including sales, customer service, recruitment, training, inventory management, accuracy of daily transactions, in-store merchandising, and staff development and motivation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales
Generating and promoting store and personal sales of wireless devices, Digital Imaging, Computers, Tablets, Audio Docks, TV’s, accessories and services in order to meet store quotas
Monitors and develops Assistant Manager and Sales Associates for compliance with all sales standards
Ensuring that store achieves the Revenue Budget
Ensuring that the store is profitable monthly through positive P&L statements, achieving monthly targets and driving sales results of team in excess of 10 % YOY growth rate monthly
Liaising between District Sales Manager and staff on marketing, merchandising and promotional activities to maximize store sales and in-store presence

Store Environment
Ensuring that the Samsung Brand is represented in the highest integrity by all staff
Responsible for monitoring and maintaining a store where “legendary customer service is evident, responding to all customer service issues in a prompt and courteous manner, escalating as required
Ensuring a positive attitude within the store and maintaining a respectful attitude towards employees
Creating an inviting store environment by maintaining merchandising standards and ensuring regular cleaning and overall store maintenance is completed
Partaking in all manner of store maintenance as required

Staffing & Coaching
Ensuring that store staffing levels are maintained with staff capable of achieving the required standard
Consistently recruiting new team members as well as management candidates, providing an effective orientation to new hires
Taking an active role in the orientation of every new hire
Fostering an environment of Learning & Development by ensuring the completion of all training for yourself and the team
Maintaining weekly store meetings and completing coaching logs for representatives
Optimizing staff scheduling according to the payroll budget. Ensuring that scheduling is posted and completed in a timely manner, with employees successfully utilizing the scheduling software
Promptly addressing performance issues through the effective use of Performance Management Tools
Executing disciplinary procedures fairly and correctly, involving the District Sales Manager in the entire process

Loss Prevention
Following all company policies with regards to opening/closing, customer service and loss prevention
Ensuring that spot checks are correctly completed on a weekly basis
Attending inventory checks, ensuring accurate counts are submitted with District Sales Manager notified of significant variances
Ensuring all loss prevention tips are utilized and that staff are knowledgeable regarding theft and fraud prevention
Auditing contracts, customer care portfolios and receipts accuracy
Ensuring that all transactions / actions within the store uphold the highest level of integrity
All additional tasks delegated by the District Sales Manager or District Team Leader will be completed accurately and within a timely manner

QUALIFICATIONS:

Be a Samsung Brand Ambassador
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong work ethic with a positive, energetic approach and attention to detail
Flexibility to work the appropriate schedule including closing shifts and weekends
Commitment to driving sales and building/solidifying a customer base, while maintaining performance levels in accordance with the company Standards
Ability to lead by example
Excellent customer service and selling skills
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
Motivated and creative team player
Strong training and professional development skills
Ability to maintain a professional appearance, demeanour, and attitude at all times
Proficiency in computer usage with basic programs such as Windows and Outlook
1 - 2 years of retail management experience managing high volume location with 8 or more employees
