The Financial Analyst - ERP is responsible for analyzing business processes and evaluating them in context of native ERP functionality and industry best practices for the purpose of identifying, recommending and implementing process improvement. The Analyst manages through a collaborative process, the activities required to engage stakeholders to identify, discuss and create tasks and plans to solve business problems. The Analyst compiles information from business processes including; financial, project costing, manual systems, and applications to identify trends and gaps in processes. The Analyst compares processes from across business units to determine best practices and make recommendation on process improvement. The Analyst evaluates the interdependencies between information technology and business processes and makes recommendations for change initiatives

Key Responsibilities

Key support for ERP System Dynamics AX

Key member of business solutions implementation team: research, plan, configure, troubleshoot, maintain and upgrade business processes

Troubleshoot and assist with the resolution of functional issues related to modules supported by the ERP and ECM systems

Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, tasks and workflow analysis

Analyze the processes and procedures used to conduct business including; production, operations and administration activities to identify and develop more efficient processes and methodologies for accomplishing tasks dependent on information systems

Develop gap analysis documents based on research between existing systems and proposed or replacement systems

Analyze and evaluate present and proposed business procedures or problems to define data processing needs

Evaluate information harvested through surveys and workshops, task analysis, and business process description

Prepare detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining systems capabilities and processes
Investigate and analyze problems and business processes and requirements, including impact analysis of change on all systems and business areas, for projects up to high complexity in order to recommend appropriate solutions

Identify opportunities for application services to ensure high quality in all deliverables and continuous improvement in application development

Research current technology and its function within the enterprise and applies specialized technical knowledge to improve business processes

Plan, track, and communicate activity status to management, as required

Write and maintain system documentation

Write technical and business documentation (including training manuals)

Assist to address technical issues related to existing applications and systems
Assist with cause analysis for issues encountered with new systems. Understanding both technical designs and specifications

Facilitate and functions as a liaison between business and technical units and works with analysts and subject matter experts (SME's) to design solutions to meet business requirements

Preferred Education and Experience

Prior experience with ERP applications, business blue-printing, configuration, implementing

Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of office products, MS Project, MS Dynamics, Visio, Share Point

Undergraduate degree in Commerce and an accounting designation (CMA, CGA, CA) supplemented by 5+ years of audit experience. Equivalent combinations of education and work experience may be considered
