We are looking for a temporary full-time External Engagement Assistant in our Calgary office to join us in the fight.
WHO YOU ARE:
You are excited to assist the External Engagement Department with all aspects of marketing and communications. You are exceptionally organized and gifted in juggling many different priorities on a daily basis while remaining calm and in control at all times. You have an engaging personality and are able to work with people at all levels both internally and externally. You are interested in providing a very high standard of support services to a small team of communicators who manage the strategic and operational communications of the Society. You have a passion for and understanding of marketing and communications including communication planning and implementation, issues management, resource work order assignments, and website updates.
HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE:
- Writing/editing/proofing copy (a wide variety of internal and external collateral)
- Assist team through internal trafficking of projects and administrative support (scheduling, managing deadlines and logistics, calls for orders, etc.)
- Website and intranet support
- E-communications marketing support
The successful candidate will have recently received or is currently obtaining a related post-secondary education such as English, Public Relations, Journalism or graphic design and have a minimum two years’ experience or equivalent training and/or work terms. An intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, design applications (Adobe), CMS (WordPress), social media and web based applications is required. You must have a Working knowledge/experience with graphic design and be willing to work evenings and weekends when needed.
