Provide maintenance repairs in all mechanical process and electrical process controls, troubleshooting all plant equipment and building facilities to ensure safety, quality, production and maintenance requirements are achieved

Follow all predictive/preventive maintenance program by using CMMS 7i system, Work Orders Request, SOP’s and GMP’s Standards and assist to develop new ones as required

Assisting in planning the installation and removal of equipment and performs start-up and run-in commissioning process and shutdown activities for the plant facility

Check and calibrate process controls and recorders to maintain or improve equipment performances (OEE) and any cost saving ideas, according to trade


Ability to read and diagnostic programmable controllers (HMI/PLC) as Allen Bradley, Omron and Panasonic

Experienced in CNC equipment, production line automation, hydraulic, pneumatic and vacuum systems and troubleshooting

Safety training in Lock out/Tag out, WHMIS, Hot Work, Confined Space, Working at Heights, Guarding and Mechanical and CSA Z462 or NFPA 70E - Electrical Safety in the workplace

Qualifications / Certifications

Must have a valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic Millwright License 433A including certificate of apprenticeship

Minimum 3-5 years of mechanical and electrical experience in maintenance field, preferably in food manufacturing or other related industry

Must pass company administered skilled competencies test, currently PLC, Following Instructions and Numerical. This test will change from time to time as standards and job responsibilities evolve.

Must have valid forklift license, including high reach and /or walkie as appropriate.

Knowledge of health and safety practices and food safety procedures.
