NRO supports The Salvation Army by recycling and selling donated goods which generates funds in support of its social services programs within our communities.
As a Distribution Manager you coordinate logistics and distribution activities for the NRO Thrift Stores and Distribution and Recycling Centre. You are responsible for the management and flow of resources from origin to destination through the integration of trucking and warehousing, as well as coordinating the storage and movement of product through established distribution processes. You provide leadership and mentoring to the Distribution and Recycling Centre team to ensure maximum efficiency while maintaining exceptional guest service to the stores and our valued donors. You are a skilled negotiator and achieve goals through ongoing management of expenses. When performed effectively, this position will reduce losses and maximize sales in region.
Our ideal candidate must have a college diploma in business administration, property management or another combination of education and experience equivalent along with a minimum of 2 – 5 years’ experience in warehouse and distribution management. You are a proficient communicator who possesses superior time and process management skills and is results driven. An effective leader with the ability to manage and measure work and motivating others in the achievement of established objectives. You are computer literate in Microsoft Office products, internet, and basic office equipment. You will hold a valid Class 5 Drivers license, forklift certification and have completed First Aid and WHMIS training. A Criminal Record Check satisfactory to the employer is required from the successful candidate(s).
