Reporting to: Senior Inventory and Sales Forecasting Analyst (interim)
Location: Markham, Ontario
Status: Contract

Job Summary:

This position is ultimately responsible for supporting demand coordination with Supply Chain with a focus on achieving Elizabeth Arden’s objectives with regard to profit, volume and share.

Main Areas of Responsibility

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

o Assisting in the development and providing the supply chain with a 24-month rolling demand forecast in units for the assigned brand/family/sku and / or business unit.
o Ensuring the integrity of these forecasts and the timely hand-off to supply planning.
o Assisting in the development of maintenance of continually improving forecasting models and settings in Manugistics.
o Maintaining functional proficiency in Manugistics via on going training and certification.
o Assist in the coordination of the Consensus forecast process with Sales, Marketing, Customer Development, Finance, etc. to ensure timely development of an agreed to forecast for the supply chain.
o Managing and archiving forecast inputs, projections and assumptions to develop the monthly forecast.
o Employing methods to collect and enter inputs and allocations for promotional sets and collateral materials; Monitoring forecast accuracy and bias.
o Communicating findings and recommended actions as required to all necessary departments.
o Assist in the development of and implementation of tools and processes to improve forecast capabilities, efficiency and accuracy; Including forecast modeling, “what if” tools, root cause analysis, etc.
o Developing and managing key data that impacts the forecast, which includes historical data, new product projections, promotion lifts, specific customer/channel trends, etc.
o Purchase Order Maintenance
o Creation, quantity adjustments,

  • Review side by sides with Marketing

o Making sure quantities match, dates are accurate

  • Update portions of the tracker

o Look up in stock position, validate accuracy

  • Help with gathering information for the S&OP
  • Help with ad hoc requests from various teams

o Check on hands, provide on hands for Finance team for discos, check pricing for Sales, UFR report

  • Create pricing files to be sent to Geneva for upload to pricing system
  • Provide basic forecast information to Marketing and Sales

Requirements and Skills

o BA/BS degree in Finance, Materials Management, Business or Engineering.
o 3-5 years of direct Demand Management experience in a CPG company essential; internship and/or co-op experience will count towards this requirement.
o Manugistics experience is required.
o Strong analytical and communication (written and oral) skills.
o High attention to detail.
o Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
o APICS CIPM Certification a plus.
o Understanding of the capabilities and costs of the supply chain, and ability to take action to improve simplicity and efficiency of interactions with customers and markets.
