Customer Service Specialist – CS7451

Job Purpose
Our client’s Customer Service Specialist is the single point of contact for their clients’ relocations; facilitating seamless communication between the parties involved in the relocation and providing important information to the customer from the initiation to the final call.

Duties and Responsibilities
 Maintain and improve customer service for relocations
 Single point of contact for the customer during the relocation process
 Become familiar with and master the company and relocation processes
 Data entry of all new moves
 Set up in-home surveys to create the budgets for new moves, obtain budget approval
 Arrange third party services as necessary
 Engage customers, provide regular updates on shipment status
 Track incoming shipments ensuring deadlines are met
 Collect all Customs Documents Ensure and ensure all Canada Customs requirements are fulfilled (shipment is re-manifested, cleared, etc.)
 Communicate with transportation company to arrange pickup and return of containers; providing them with required documentation
 Assist customers with Customs Clearance process for imports
 Work with Local Operations and customers to schedule pack/load/delivery dates
 Ensure any outstanding charges have been paid prior to delivery
 Generate invoices within predetermined timelines
 Ensure all required documentation is relayed (customs, inventories, final weights, etc.)
 Schedule pickup of shipment (air, LCL) or drop off of empty container by transportation company (ocean), ensure shipment is prepped prior to pickup
 Ensure loaded containers are returned according to deadlines
 Following up with customers after delivery
 Have basic knowledge and access to information for customs requirements for Canada and the US
 Know and understand Canada Customs clearance process for imports
 Knowledge and know-how to re-manifest a shipment

 High School Diploma or equivalent
 Post-secondary education (university/vocational college) preferred but not required
 1-3 years Customer Service experience
 Typing, computer knowledge (MS Office, internet, and general knowledge)
 Ability to type 50-60 wpm
 Excellent verbal & written communication skills
 Ability to multi-task while working in a demanding & high pressure work environment
