Job Description
-Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a CNC machine; maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies.
-Accurately setting up the parameters of the job requirements on various equipment prior to initiating a job.
-Operating the CNC equipment to machine parts, repeatedly re-measuring/checking to ensure quality
-Ensuring work conforms to job specifications and that the paperwork corresponds to and follows the job by completing production and quality logs.
-Perform general maintenance activities on the CNC equipment
-General housekeeping in and around the equipment
-Performing all job tasks in a safe and efficient manner
-Filling out documentation and maintaining machine files.
-Takes measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting offsets, adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
-Adaptable to a changing work environment.
-Preform repetitive motions, able to stand for long period of time.
-Regular inspection of tooling, inserts and measuring instruments.

Required Skills

-At least 2 years’ experience operating CNC machine(lathe/mills), using measuring instruments and basic G code understanding
-Motivated, self-directed, able to work under minimal supervision
-Able to work under pressure, work in a fast paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
-CNC certificate considered an asset
