The Information Technology Group of Chartis is currently seeking a Business Process Solution Analyst to manage the requirements effort for our Multinational Casualty Commercial Insurance Underwriting System, eWorldSource. eWorldSource supports Multinational Casualty Controlled Master Programs (includes Master and Local Policies) and Package Policies.
This position is part of the strategic Multinational Chartis UW IT Program. The candidate should be a thought leader, problem solver and an expert in the methodology of requirements elaboration.
*Ability to discover the ‘real business need’ through GAP analysis, business process analysis and interactive working sessions with our business partners.
*Ability to transform complex business processes into simple-to-comprehend business requirements using primarily Fully Dressed Use Cases.
*Ability to shape unstructured and disjointed data into cohesive business requirements. This skill relies upon root cause analysis capabilities.
*Ability to analyze and document business requirements through Business Domain Models, Business Process Maps, Use Cases, Mockups, Prototypes, and Data Dictionaries. These skills will be used within a large program of work to develop strategic cutting edge UW systems and sunset legacy systems. Candidate will apply knowledge of system capabilities and business needs and work with development team to identify system solutions.
*Ability to conducts system testing, quality assurance testing, user acceptance testing, and user training sessions as needed to support functional and maintenance releases.
*Ability to communicate and interfaces effectively with business units, technology teams and support teams and individuals at all levels of the organization to understand and document requirements (such as functional, interface, and GUI designs).
*Bachelor’s degree with 6-10 years of Business Analyst experience, including Fully Dressed Use Cases.
*5 years of Multinational Commercial Insurance Domain Experience with Multinational Casualty Controlled Master Programs (which include Master and Local Policies) to support Risk Transfer, Risk Management, and Retrospective Requirements is mandatory.
*3 years of Experience in analyzing and documenting Exposure Based and Loss Based Rating Requirements is mandatory.
*5 years of Experience in Multinational Package Policies with the following lines of business:
Automobile Liability and Physical Damage
Workers Compensation and Employers Liability
Travel Accident and Health
Commercial Property and Travel Property
Kidnap & Ransom/Extortion
Marine Ocean Cargo
*Excellent analytical skills with superb attention to detail is required.
*Must have Technical Analysis or Development Experience.
*Must have Lead Business Analyst Experience with 3 team members or more.
*Must have experience in Business Requirement GAP analysis to support new system development or significant enhancements to existing systems.
*Must take ownership of deadlines and commitments.
*Must be able to facilitate and lead meetings.
*Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
*Proficiency in Microsoft Visio, Excel Macros, and PL/SQL for Sybase/Oracle are required.
*AIG/Chartis experience is required.
