Our client is hiring a Business Analyst that will be working as part of the Project Team and working with subject matter experts at all levels across the company to identify, understand and document operational processes and procedures to gather requirements, identify and document process, provide coordination, and track project tasks. We are looking for Business Analyst who has demonstrated problem solving and trouble-shooting capabilities, as well as, a proven track record in delivering for successful projects in a tight timeline. The Business Analyst will be handling sensitive and confidential information, and will require excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to express ideas/solutions in a clear and concise manner. The successful candidate should have a background in Business Process Mapping with relevant experience in Gap Analysis and system implementation testing phases such as System Integration Testing and User Acceptance Testing. Excellent communication and facilitation skills are mandatory as it is required of the successful Business Analyst to be working with major stakeholders within the organization and the Government of Alberta. We are looking for someone with a Bachelor degree in a related field, and three to five years of experience as a Business Analyst in ERP system implementations, preferably with Northgate and/or PeopleSoft.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. We are looking for someone with experience in the system change process, needs assessment, process mapping, business case development, project scoping, requirement gathering, documentation, configuration, testing and implementation phases. Strong problem solving, analytical abilities, planning and organization skills is must. A working knowledge of Project Management Principals will be key to this candidate success. It is important to have a sound understanding of operations processes, practices and metrics. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, Visio and PowerPoint is a must.
