Responsibilities will include assuming lead analyst role for the rating of Canadian ABS, RMBS and ABCP transactions and assisting on covered bond, CMBS and other securitization transactions. The analysis will include reviewing legal documents, analyzing collateral pools, deal structures, cash flows and third party due diligence reports, using Moody’s in-house models, Excel or other models and statistical packages to formulate an independent credit opinion and present to rating committees. The candidate is also expected to publish timely, insightful and in-depth research and transaction reports, interact effectively with market participants and speak knowledgeably at conferences and investor briefings.

Qualifications MBA or Master's Degree in Economics, Finance, Financial Engineering, Statistics or Mathematics. At least 5 years finance-related analytical experience, preferably involving securitization and the lending industry. Strong academic record (both graduate and undergraduate). Solid Microsoft Excel skills mandatory; knowledge of additional statistical packages, programming language (VBA), Microsoft Access and database analysis strongly preferred. Knowledge of, and practical experience in, financial/bond markets and cash flow modelling is a positive. Strong oral and written communication capabilities, ability to manage multiple projects, work closely with others as well as independently to produce accurate, detailed work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment is a must.
