NRO supports The Salvation Army by recycling and selling donated goods which generates funds in support of its social services programs within our communities.

As an Assistant Store Manager you will bring basic knowledge of and assist with the supervision of store staff, budgeting, tracking expenses, paperwork (schedules), and personnel work. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting and selling products or services is needed. When performed effectively, this position will reduce losses and maximize sales and profitability by maintaining high standards in sales, merchandising, marketing, displays, promotions, customer service and public relations.

Our ideal candidate will have completed Grade 12 education; possess 2-5 years of retail experience in cash procedures, pricing and sorting as well as product display and promotion guidelines. Excellent written and oral English and strong people skills will also be demonstrated. You will need to be computer proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, internet, and basic office equipment.

You can expect joining a hands-on work environment where you will be required to physically move through our operation while adhering to daily goals. We are operational 7 days a week, however, our store are open for shopping 6 days a week. We schedule our employees based on operational needs - days, evenings and weekends (*note Sundays we are open to receive donations). As an Assistant Store Manager you will be expected to work every other weekend, sale days and evenings as required.
