The role is responsible for the coordination of client service plans through effective, accountable and responsive scheduling of staff.
This position is located in an office environment with rotating shifts beginning in the afternoon and ending in the mid-morning seven days a week. Shifts are available early afternoon, as well as overnight. This position does includes’ weekends and statutory holidays.
You must possess strong computer skills and have previous dispatching or scheduling experience. Excellent organizational, time management skills, be detail oriented, and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment are also required. manage appropriate scheduling of staff to ensure the delivery of safe, competent care
Use technology to facilitate coordination of employees and clients ( i.e. voice mail, email, computer software scheduling program)
Responds to client/caregiver/employee inquiries and/or problems immediately
Adheres to Employment Standards legislation
Maintains accurate client/employee records by ensuring changes in schedules are effected immediately
Minimum Grade 12 education
Medical Terminology an asset
Scheduling experience in a health care environment an asset
Keyboarding accuracy and knowledgeable in Windows environment
Able to communicate effectively in potential conflict situations
Must be consistent in approach: analytical, sensitive, precise, logical, systematic and compliant/non-aggressive by nature
Must have excellent communication skills
