Providing one-on-one guidance to determine client skillset, aptitudes, and interests
Assisting clients with goal planning and tracking related to job search and continuing education
Delivering group training sessions on job search techniques and preparation
Reviewing current curriculum and making recommendations for improvements and enhancements
Conducting research into latest career guidance practices and current trends/resources
Working with Adult Education team to build integrated programs and education plans for clients
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
Maintaining high professional standards and confidentiality at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate:
Has completed two or more years of community college in a related field
Has three to five years of related experience, including experience in career counseling and/or guidance
Exhibits strong facilitation, presentation skills with strong verbal and written communication skills
Possesses excellent knowledge of Windows and the Microsoft Office Suite of programs
Is innovative and resourceful
Have the ability to multi-task, set priorities and function under pressure
Is willing to support the mission of The Salvation Army, work in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner
Must pass a Police Security Check and Child Intervention Check

Candidates with a Social Work education are required to be registered with the ACSW

GRADE: Full Time – 40 hours per week. (Evening and weekend work may be required)
