United Rentals, a dynamic company that embraces creative thinking and employee development is offering an excellent opportunity for a National Accounts Manager. We are searching for an experienced individual who will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining and developing relationships with new and existing national account customers and their subsidiary companies
  • Increasing revenue and business opportunities with national account customers
  • Monitor and prospect large projects involving national account customers; send leads to branch sales representatives.
  • Monitor branch accounts and key accounts, and assist in transition of such accounts to national account status, based on revenue growth. The NAM maintains and develops relationships with existing national accounts and their subsidiary companies within their territory;
  • Call on customers frequently to identify customer needs.
  • Develop personal business relationships through approved company entertainment.
  • Prepare and provide formal business reviews to national account company decision Makers, High level sales executives
  • Monitor and prospect large projects involving national account customers; send leads to branch sales representatives.
  • Monitor branch accounts and key accounts, and assist in transition of such accounts to national account status, based on revenue growth. Prospect and qualify new national accounts from existing key or branch accounts, dormant or non-customer accounts, including competitor accounts;
  • Identify target accounts using Industry accepted sources.
  • Successfully solicit new accounts.
  • Utilize Rentalman system, Dodge reports and company sales force automation tools to increase productivity and provide superior customer service Support the overall efforts of and closely partner with the branch sales representatives, key account managers, DMs, other National Account Managers, and Region Sales and Marketing Managers. Partner with other National Account Managers to assist them in driving revenue for all National Account customers, for the benefit of the Company. Assist the Credit Department on any outstanding concerning key accounts
  • Identify delinquent accounts and work with credit and customer to resolve.
  • Handle credit issues not resolved in the field.
  • Manage DSO of assigned accounts to Company DSO goal.
