newterra is looking for an Electrical Design Engineer to join our Process Water Group. This individuals responsibilities will include:

  • Developing Power Distribution, Input and Output drawings
  • Specifying and selecting sub-components required to manufacture our electrical power distribution and control systems
  • Programming PLCs, HMI screens
  • Testing Systems
  • Providing technical support for cusotmers in the field
  • Supporting the manufacturing group through the fabrication, assembly and testing of systems
  • Providing technical level sales engineering support for new opportunities
  • Developing our products and capabilities to satisfy our customers requirements

The ideal candidate would have the following experience and capabilities:

  • Greater than three years work experience
  • PLC programming experience with Allen Bradley (Direct Logic, EOS, GE, and more);
  • Engineering or technology graduate in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering with specialization in water treatment
  • Experience with process piping system design with pumps, level control, instrumentation and transmitters
  • Must have extensive electrical/mechanical and trouble shooting skills;
  • Fluent in Microsoft office, and E3 wires works or similar electrical design software would be ideal
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly motivated, career focused individual interest in building their capabilities for long term growth
  • Well organized, attention to detail is critical;
  • Functions well in a fast moving environment;
  • Shows initiative and desire to learn.;
  • Ability to methodically analyze and resolve technical problems;
  • Good written and oral communication skills;
