This position provides the opportunity for a care aide, nurse, or other health professional with exceptional dementia or mental health experience to join a high quality home care team delivering complex care. The team, that includes dementia skilled care aides, a physiotherapist, gerontologist, and nurse educator, provides an exceptional learning opportunity for a professional with a talent for dementia care.
APPLICANTS MUST MEET THESE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

- 5-20 years' experience de-escalating dementia behaviors with minimal use of medications;
- Tall, strong, and fit to transfer a tall, heavy client, and push her wheelchair uphill.
The client is a fiercely independent, fun, physically active, intellectual, well-travelled, cultural lady with dementia and hemiparesis. Compensation: Attractive compensation and benefits package offered to well-matched applicants (85%-95% of union pay scales). The position may become full time after a 3 months’ probation.
