Accounting Administrative Assistant

We are a well established company based in the Vaughan area and have an immediate opening for an Accounting Administrative Assistant. Reporting to the Office Manager, the Accounting Administrative Assistant is responsible for all aspects of day-to-day reception front office administration including acting as the main point of contact for internal staff and external clients. The right candidate will need to be detailed oriented and well organized with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast paced team environment to meet objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide receptionist duties including greeting visitors, handling incoming calls, ordering and managing office supplies and performing other general administrative duties as required
  • Processing daily payments, invoicing clients, assisting finance department with payable invoices and other special projects
  • Responsible for filing and sorting of incoming paperwork
  • Perform light Housekeeping duties as required
  • Assisting the Entertainment Consultants with Bookings, Data entry etc.
  • Assist the Office Manager and Controller with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Completion of high school or post-secondary education
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of administrative work experience
  • Knowledge of Quick books and/or Simply Accounting software is desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and professionalism when dealing with clients
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
  • Exceptional interpersonal and people skills
  • Must be a excellent team player and have sound customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across diverse business units
  • Strong Computer knowledge, experienced MS Office user, ( including word, excel, outlook, lotus etc), additional database knowledge desirable
