ZAG is currently looking for an "in the trenches" Sales Manager to join our current team in our Vancouver office. The successful applicant will have experience in managing phone sales and service environment and will be provided with warm leads list and product that has an amazing growth rate. This individual will take a market segment, penetrate it and lead a sales team to success. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for disseminating and reporting sales metrics to the Leadership Team, with a focus on accurate market information so that we can tailor the sales strategy accordingly.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively lead a Sales team to sell to consumers, retailers and distributors, with the result being in generating revenue with new and existing customers.
  • Assist the Director of Sales in the development of sales team strategy. Works with team to execute on tactical plans; helping to achieve the strategic team goals and revenue targets.
  • Successfully meet pre-defined goals and goals and budgets as created by the senior management team.
  • Expand relationships with our existing customers (with lots of hands on work), leading the sales team to open new accounts and creating customer loyalty.
  • Coordinate internal resources as necessary to help close opportunities, maximize results and ensure the satisfaction of ZAG customers.
  • Works to remove any operational/organizational barriers that may impede success of targets.
  • Recommends changes to day to day operations of the team and acts as an advisor, mentor and coach to ensure efficient timelines and technical difficulties are resolved.
  • Recruiting, training and retaining existing Account Executives.
  • Develops and administers team scheduling, monitors and effects team performance.

Responsibilities

  • 3-5 years of successful experience in sales with a consistent proven track record of meeting/exceeding quota expectations in an entrepreneurial environment, including leading a team of account executives in a metrics-based environment.
  • 3+years of sales management experience
  • Proven experience in managing people to performance goals and excellent people management skills including resolving conflict, coaching and developing others, promoting teamwork and performance management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and strong business acumen.
  • Completion of post-secondary education
