Productive place to work while being able to voice your opinion with positive feedback
Office Assistant (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 24 August 2016
A typical day at work would include a sit down in the morning to review everyone's task. Then go about what you have to do, ask questions if you are not clear. Sometimes we would work on a task together. Most days we eat lunch together and discuss day to day life, have a few laughs. Co-workers were a joy to work for, the most laid back place and your opinion matters.
Productive workplace that focused on successfully attending to client needs.
Vocational Counsellor (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 1 April 2013
A typical day involved group job search training and assessment along with individual counselling sessions. I learnt the importance of the individual's previous experiences and what she brings to the work place outside of academic and work experience. The management was fair based on the context in which she operated. Co-workers worked well together to some extent though there were some clear areas that I believe needed to be addressed. The hardest part of the job was ensuring that some clients follow through on the work plans as agreed. The most enjoyable part was watching a client self develop and secure suitable employment.
using a wide range of my skills to support clients
Great opportunity to help newcomers settle into their new country
Manager (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 1 June 2015
This organization provided the space to make a difference in the lives of others. Through this experience I was able to expand my knowledge and skills in non-profit management. The most enjoyable part of this job was seeing former clients find employment thereby enabling their families to successfully settle into their new home.
