The Position – DIRECTOR OF FACILITY OPERATIONS
The Director of Facility Operations develops contract specifications and oversees, monitors and evaluates facility service contracts and leases; develops and implements best practices for the supply, delivery, and service excellence for all areas; and works closely with Capital Planning and Projects on construction projects managed by project office. The Director of Facility Operations reports to the Chief Financial Officer, this position provides overall development, direction, operation and support of Plant and Maintenance, Security Services and Environmental Services including Housekeeping and Laundry.
The Candidate - Qualifications/Toolbox
Property Management Professional (PMP) Certification or a Trades Certificate (i.e. First or Second Class Power Engineering Certificate) with 7-10 years of management/leadership experience, a valid Class 5 Drivers License and the ability to travel to Yukon Hospital Corporation community hospitals.
Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of property management principles and practices; strong management experience, with track record of successfully planning and delivering major organizational projects or programs including financial management, human resource management methods and techniques, etc.; knowledge of issues, trends and practices in hospital facility operations; knowledge of policy and program development, planning and evaluation principles and practices; demonstrated commitment to providing leadership, achieving objectives, providing quality services, and effective management of resources: demonstrated ability to manage budgets and scarce resources, demonstrated ability to guide individuals and groups while maintaining group cohesion, motivation, commitment and effectiveness, proven ability to lead, guide and direct staff, demonstrated ability to effectively introduce and manage change that is consistent with the vision, goals and objectives of Yukon Hospital Corporation; ability to work effectively on the management team and within committee structures, excellent communication and negotiation skills, good analytical and synthesis skills, good problem solving and conflict resolution skills; demonstrated ability to function effectively in a highly dynamic environment; demonstrated ability to be effective in an environment subject to continuous change; working knowledge of applicable regulations, legislation, and collective agreements.
This position is part of our Management group with an annual salary of $91, 342 to $114, 178. Included with the offer will be an attractive benefits packages, pension plan, yearly performance bonus, and relocation allowance.
