Supervisor
YESS is looking for a supervisor for our overnight Nexus Program that will require some evening and/or occasional overnights when necessary. What we need from you:

  • Diploma or degree in Child and Youth Care or other human services
  • Full certified CYCAA Child and Youth Care Worker or eligible after 1 year to be certified
  • Minimum 2 years Experience in a supervisory capacity working with “at risk”

and/or homeless youth facing difficult realities

  • 5 years Experience working with “at risk” and/or homeless youth facing difficult realities
  • Good people skills, be a team player, tactful and diplomatic
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • CYIM check and security clearance less than 6 months old
  • Must be knowledgeable and respectful of the values, beliefs and practices of Aboriginal

and other cultural groups

  • Computer software proficiency

Ability to work some evening and/or occasional overnights when necessary
Ability to:

  • Develop and supervise our Nexus Program
  • Develop program teams and monitor performance
  • Create a family style environment, ensuring a safe, clean and secure environment
  • Supervise staff
  • To promote and maintain agency relationships with community, groups, and other Agencies
  • Collaborate with agency staff, supervisory peers and managers
  • Write and review reports and maintain documentation for programs and personnel
  • Develop personal and professional competencies
  • To work under pressure and assertively problem solve issues
  • To promote a commitment and dedication to the work of YESS

Salary: 45-55 K annually based on qualifications and experience
