TEACHING ASSISTANT (Former Employee) – North York, ON – 17 July 2017
I enjoyed every moment of my time at York University as a teaching assistant. I was there under special circumstances so my situation wouldn't apply to anyone else, but it doesn't change the fact that it was great.
Excellent management and experience for current students
Peer Mentorship Coordinator (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 11 July 2017
I had a great time working at York University. It has an excellent culture, offers a lot of resources for personal improvement and support. You also learn a lot in your role and have lots of opportunities to grow.
Program Representative Sport Clubs (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 23 June 2017
Workplace culture was in the process of restructuring (a very good idea). Good place to "get your feet wet" as management is very forgiving in most departments. Enjoyed the flexibility of planning my work week.

Simple work with good customers and nice managment
Invigilator (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 13 May 2017
Hours were easy and very flexible. Co-workers are nice and very easy to get along with. The hardest part of this job is the lack of company because this position required one to work alone. However there was no management to keep a constant watch, as long as the work is done and the teacher and students get helped when they arrive there is no reason for management to get involved.
Call Centre Representative (Former Employee) – york university – 12 May 2017
York university was a fun workplace environment however the pay was low and not given on time. A typical day at work involved checking in with the manager and then continuing on with the workload with no breaks. I learned that call center jobs can teach you a lot of social skills often needed. Management was nice and accomodating. The hardest part of the job was meeting the quota set by managers. The most enjoyable part was speaking with fellow colleagues.
Post-doctoral Fellow (Former Employee) – Toronto, ON – 10 May 2017
Overall is good school to study and work. In terms of study there, I would hope there will be co-op program or offer some real case study course. In terms work there, I would hope there's better health benefits for post-doc fellow .
