Required for growing health clinic in Downtown Toronto. We are looking for 2 new member to join our team of health professionals. This position requires candidates to provide organization, clerical support, & administrative assistance in order to maintain an orderly clinic. Also, to ensure that the highest degree of quality patient care is maintained at all times

Job Duties

Acts as receptionist to greet and help patients in a professional, friendly, kind, helpful manner. Performs scheduling duties for medical clinic, dental and Rehab patients, and has strong knowledge and understanding of OHIP billings, medical terminology as well as insurance and patient referrals. Will preform PFT,ECG's and from time to time will assist physician. Initiates prior authorizations as required by payers and obtains pre-certifications for services as needed. Obtains authorization for workers comp cases & accurately processes authorizations. Verify insurance and healthcards on all new and existing patients.
Maintains patient records and other department documentation, including, but not limited to, copying, scanning, filling & Conducts professional internal and external communication including, but not limited to, telephone correspondence, mail service, written correspondence. Maintains patient confidentiality and uphold patient rights. Maintains excellent working relationship with referral sources and other personnel interacting with and within the clinic. Performs other duties as assigned and appropriate for the position.


High school diploma or equivalent. Exemplary phone etiquette, with ability to handle multiple calls and tasks. Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems. Strong knowledge of miscellaneous procedures within the reception are including reminder calls, opening & closing duties, screen policy, insurance verifications & authorizations. Proficient use of copier, fax machine and telephone system. Strong customer service skills, including interaction with patients. Working knowledge or Microsoft Word, Curve Hero, Universal, Healthscreen/OSCAR and similar computer programs.
