Senior Tripping Counselor (Former Employee) –  Haliburton, ON28 November 2017
The bottle also comes equipped with the ability to keep drinks at a perfect warm or cold temperature for up to eight hours at a time. Coffee will stay warm the whole commute to work, and water will stay cold all-day long. It also comes equipped with a UV-C light inside which at the press of a button flashes the inside of the bottle and removes 99.99% of bacteria inside. Great for making sure the bottle is always free of germs.

The best part of the job is getting to spend time with such a wonderful group of coworkers, feeling the positive energy from the atmosphere, and always feeling motivated to be my best once I'm in there.

Wellness Attendant (Former Employee) –  Hartford, CT24 November 2017
The YMCA provides a lot of room in order to grow within the company and skills to help you outside of the company. The staff and members were a part of the community, which made the job more endearing.

Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Quinte West, ON20 November 2017
It is a pleasant environment to work in,
Members and staff are friendly. The pay does not match the job requirements. this maybe because it is a charity organization. Very little room for advancement.
Pros
discounted membership or free membership
Cons
very early starts and late closes, only day that the facility is closed is Christmas day, open on all stat holidays including family day

You work here because you love your job, not because you love money. It's great to help children and Parents in need and to see the direct impact on the community.

Early Childhood Educator Assistant (Current Employee) –  Milton, ON12 November 2017
You do minimal work with the opportunity to move on up quickly in the company if you know someone within the company. It is a very good start to any career.

A Starting Point for Young People
Customer Service Representative (Current Employee) –  Toronto, ON11 November 2017
If you are looking for a company where you can grow your career, the Y is not the place for you. They employ mostly young people and expect them to leave for better job opportunities, therefore they do not invest much in their employee training and development.
Pros
Fitness opportunities
