Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care (Yee Hong) is one of the largest not-for-profit long term and community care organizations in North America. Continuing on the journey to “a caring community where seniors and others enjoy the highest quality of life and the model of excellence”, Yee Hong provides culturally appropriate care along the continuum, from a senior’s most independent days to their most dependent stage of life. We offer this continuum of care services to Chinese seniors as well as seniors of various cultural backgrounds, including Korean, Vietnamese, Portuguese, South Asian, Filipino, Japanese, and others. This continuum includes four Long-Term Care Homes located in Scarborough, Markham and Mississauga areas, Senior Housing, Community Care, and Medical Services.

Status: Full Time

Core Function:
As a key member of the senior management team reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Director is accountable for the overall management and operational performance of one of Yee Hong’s Long Term Care Homes (LTCHs). Specifically, the Executive Director is responsible for:
- Ensuring effective incorporation and realization of the organization’s mission and values in all aspects of the LTCH’s functioning;
- Providing leadership to day-to-day management and operational performance of the LTCH;
- Ensuring high quality care and services to residents through a comprehensive quality and risk management program in compliance with the Long-Term Care Homes Act and other relevant government legislations and standards;
- Leading the implementation of aspects of the corporate annual operating plans;
- Ensuring budget allocations are effectively monitored and evaluated;
- Effectively managing the LTCH’s human resources;
- Providing leadership in executing Yee Hong’s strategic plan;
- Contribute to the development, refreshment, and evaluation of organizational strategic plans, goals and objectives
- Leading corporate councils, cabinets, committees, and local LTCH committees
- Representing the organization in its respective jurisdictions of the different LHINs and CCACs
- Other corporate functions and duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- A progressive track record in health care administration, especially seniors care
- Masters degree and professional designation in health or social sciences, or equivalent
- Successful completion of, or is currently enrolled in a recognized program in long term care home administration or management (1)
- A leadership and management style that is innovative, energetic, honest, participatory, empowering and enabling, as well as a talent for team-building
- Strong conflict resolution skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Fluency in both English and Chinese preferred
