The Recruiter position is an active role within the Disability Services department, and works collaboratively with other department staff. This is a full-time position working 37.5 hours per week with flexibility for some evening work when required.
Qualifications Required:
Post Secondary education, preferably in Recruitment or Human Resources
Minimum of 1 year experience in a recruitment position
Strong communication with a proven ability to work with diverse groups and individual personalities
Strong organizational, and problem solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Able to work in a fast paced environment
Position Responsibilities: Recruitment
Respond to all employment inquiries
Create recruitment marketing materials
Create job postings and advertise vacant positions within the organization
Screen resumes and arrange interviews
Conduct pre-screening phone calls and face to face interviews for staff and contractors
Complete reference checks
Ensure all pre-requisites are met prior to hiring
Prepare offer letters
Conduct orientation for staff and contractors
Ensure employee handbook and PowerPoint presentation are up to date
Administration
Maintain database to track status of recruitment process for individual candidates
Maintain Disability Services database to track retention of staff and contractors
Track employee departures and conduct exit interviews as required
External Relations
Coordinate and attend external functions such as career fairs, trade shows, and special events as required
