We are seeking a Resource Area Facilitator to join our team who is energetic, personable, resourceful, well-organized, natural at building relationships and bringing out the best in people, and excels in a challenging work environment. The successful candidate should have significant experience working with at-risk individuals in an employment setting. The Resource Area Facilitator will be tasked with identifying which self-serve clients may be eligible for Case Management services.
You will be a very significant point of contact for participants accessing services and therefore you have tremendous people skills and a positive attitude. Your local knowledge of community service providers is critical to client success. Your ability to network and establish a solid knowledge of local labour market information is also considered critical. You will demonstrate sensitivity to the diverse needs of clients such as literacy, emotional, social, behavioural and cultural differences.

Major Responsibilities and Abilities:
The Resource Area Facilitator will have exceptionally strong computer skills including expertise with Microsoft Word and WinWay Resume Deluxe and multiple email platforms. The Resource Area Facilitator will keep self-serve area job boards, LMI, and community resources information boards up to date. Additionally, the Resource Area Facilitator will host job clubs, career fairs and arrange guest speakers as needed. Resources Area Facilitators will guide clients in the self serve area with their resume and cover letter development, and internet job search techniques. Additionally, the Resource Area Facilitator will assist in the coordination, development and training of volunteers at the EPBC.

Qualifications:

 A combination of education, training and practical experience in the employment field will be considered. CCDP certification is considered an asset
 2+ years experience working with at-risk individuals
 The ability to handle confidential information in an appropriate manner
 Extensive knowledge of LMI, employment, and community resources
 Strong verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual is an asset
 Effective time management and organizational skills
 Knowledge of EPBC programs and services
 Must be open-minded, flexible, and thrive on a teamwork approach
 Upon request provide 3 references. A minimum of 2 will be professional in nature (e.g. Employer, Supervisor or Colleague.
 A satisfactory Criminal Record Check. Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Reference Check/Vulnerable Sector Search issued no later than [six (6) months] preceding your start date. The YMCA will provide applicable instructions and paperwork.
 Upon request provide 3 references. A minimum of 2 will be professional in nature (e.g. Employer, Supervisor or Colleague.
