Salary Range: $10.25 - $12.00 per hour
Receive shipments at our development warehouse.
Keep the warehouse clean and well organized at all times.
Monitor shipments, stock and organize shelves, and ready supplies for projects as they unfold.
Keep appropriate staff up to date on the status of shipments and parts for jobs.
Participate in the ordering process, gradually taking on more responsibility in this area.
Take responsibility for monitoring toolkits, identifying missing tools and replacing them as needed.
Monitor and restock various shop supplies.
Break down and re-shelve the materials and toolkits brought back from jobs.
Keep an up to date record of items in stock at all times, with an emphasis on loss-prevention.
Help to enforce policies and present ideas on improving the use of warehouse facilities.
Present ideas for improvements to the facilities as our business grows.
Periodically assist with install and staging support tasks.
Engage in opportunities to participate in other areas of our business.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in a shop or warehouse environments is an asset.
Experience ordering parts from a variety of suppliers is preferred.
Strong organizational skills an absolute must.
Basic computer skills required.
Experience with tools, and an aptitude to learn more about them preferred.
Experience with cabling, cable types, electrical and electronics supplies is an asset.
Ability to learn a wide array of new items and supplies and be able to identify them by sight required.
Good people skills, communication abilities and an aptitude for implementing and enforcing policies.
A keen interest in technology and a strong desire to learn will be looked upon very favourably.
