We are looking for a Customer Analytics Analyst who will be responsible to drive the introduction and creation of advanced customer analytics and modeling while leveraging GIS expertise and incorporating elements such as population demographics and psychographics. This Analyst will use tools such as Access, SQL, R, SPSS, SAS, MapInfo/ArcGIS, AnySite, Spectrum Spatial/ArcGIS server, etc., to create and present an array of analytics (new tower build and market analytics, sales forecast, segmentation, predictive/exploration models related to acquisitions and churn, and collaborative filtering models). These will be leveraged to improve Xplornet customer experience and revenue performance metrics as well as introduce new opportunities for product and revenue generation.

Key responsibilities include:
Design and produce models that leverage GIS expertise and incorporate elements such as Xplornet current customer base, sales trends, churn, demographics, and psychographics to drive acquisitions and retention initiatives as well as capital plans. This includes acquisition, churn, and LTV models.
Drive the design and execution of national un-addressed mail and direct mail campaigns as well as media targeting strategies.
Create market penetration summaries by geography to incorporate in acquisition forecasts and current customer base analysis.
Manage automated web services within Spectrum Spatial Server and/or ArcGIS Server.
Automate reports related to government subsidized programs.
Answer ad-hoc requests related to market summary, awareness campaigns, Satellite or Fixed Wireless footprints.
Manage the GIS data assets.

The ideal candidate will possess:
Minimum 4 years of experience in hands-on Database Marketing (Data Mining)
Education background including Statistics, Mathematics, Data Mining and/or GIS
Knowledge of regression analysis, decision trees, and influence diagrams
Experience manipulating data using SQL Server and MS Access
Advanced Excel knowledge, R, SPSS or SAS
Knowledge of MapInfo and/or ArcGIS is an asset
Ability to understand stakeholders’ goals (requires business acumen, marketing knowledge and skills to ask the right questions) and form relationships with marketers
Talent to prioritize business value over “interest” of data and balance data/insight quality versus speed
Skills to perform well in a rapidly evolving environment with strict deadlines
Ability to tell stories with data visually (e.g., make it fun, memorable)
