An immediate opportunity exists for a Customer Logistics Planner for our Logistics division located in Mississauga, ON.
**Please note that this is a weekend shift 8am to 5pm (Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday)

This position is responsible for the planning, execution and control of transportation services for our strategic partners.
Focus is, but not limited to, domestic and cross border intermodal shipments.
Responsible for complete order management (end to end)
Key communication link with customers on front line issues
Provide feedback to Sales & Customer Service on areas of opportunity or concern
Work with customer On-Time reports to ensure we are meeting our on time objectives
Grow and develop our carrier base with partners that meet and exceed our criteria & compliance standards
Monitor, measure and provide feedback on carrier performance
Negotiate rate with carriers on a transactional basis by following the Carrier Rate Matrix previous order guidelines.
Perform all of the above responsibilities in alignment with our corporate strategic objectives

Ensure data integrity is high when building, managing, and completing orders
Verify carrier data is accurate before completing orders
Support and replace other team members as needed
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Able to work in a team atmosphere with minimum supervision
Required Skills and Abilities:
Must have a minimum of 2 years previous experience in Logistics.
Understanding of transport industry and related documents
Candidate must poses a good knowledge of North American geography
Post secondary degree in Logistics/ Transportation or a related discipline
Strong working knowledge of AS400 and Lotus Notes
Candidate must possess exceptional interpersonal skills
Must have exceptional communication skills and good negotiation skills
Self starter with good judgment, well organized, professional and detail oriented individual
Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor
Ability to multi-task and manage priorities, meet deadlines, work under pressure and take on additional tasks
