Better than its competitors
Quality Assurance Document Checker / Controller (Former Employee) –  Calgary, AB15 May 2017
WorleyParsons is far better than its EPCM competitors. It truly values its employees, offering good wages and outstanding benefits, but carries a gigantic management team, which contributes negatively to the company's overhead and limits the chance of advancement.

The company's line of business is extremely risky, not offering any job security. But this is at least recognized by the management, who pays the employees well while there are projects.
Pros
Great work-life balance, pay and benefits. Treats employees with respect
Cons
No job security. Enjoy it while employed

Challenging but relevant interview process. Great place to get straight into technical work, and quality work is recognized. Very diverse workplace, lots of personality types at all levels.
Pros
Pleasant environment, clear expectations
Cons
Can be tough to build new skills; focus is on delivering what you already know.

Going downhill
IM Program Director (Former Employee) –  Edmonton, AB9 May 2017
Was a great place to work with a growth outlook in several industries. Recent economic downturn has resulted in the company taking drastic cost cutting measures and no longer taking an employee first approach which was a key feature of the company previously.
Pros
Good salaries previous to downturn
Cons
No longer has a growth outlook and has turned inwards to survive in current economic downturn

This company has moved all their Document Control services to India and China. This has left a number of employees out of work and more to be laid off in the near future.

not the most comfortatble place to work
IT Technician (Former Employee) –  Markham, ON1 May 2017
The place is falling apart at the seams and no one seems to care about the people that actually do the work at the locations. Unfortunately, the IT OH staff are treated with such disrespect by global IT management that you'll be shown the door just to save the shareholders of WorleyParsons regardless of your value to the business. very sad state of affairs.
