World Health, Edmonton’s leading health and wellness organization, is looking for a Marketing Assistant to join our team. This is a full-time position working out of our head office in Edmonton, AB. This role is an essential part of World Health’s Marketing Department, which is responsible for growing the brand and continuing to support the organization as leaders in the fitness industry.

The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented individual capable of managing, organizing and coordinating with a variety of stakeholders, suppliers and partners. They will combine a background in office or account administration with strong communication abilities and confidence. They must be adept in their administrative abilities within the corporate framework and have the ability to articulate World Health’s message, image, and vision. This position is an incredible opportunity for someone looking to build experience in a Marketing environment.


Reporting to the Marketing Manager, this position will be responsible for assisting and administering various World Health marketing and promotional initiatives. This will involve the coordination and execution of existing strategic marketing and promotional plans. This role will support the Marketing Manager in delivering well-rounded marketing efforts offering both internally and externally. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordination and communication with suppliers and sponsors
  • Printing and preparation of marketing materials before final approval
  • Proof-reading and editing
  • Assisting with scheduling and planning
  • Organization of departmental requests
  • Developing marketing materials and presentations
  • Sourcing products and services


The position demands an organized, poised individual with an administrative/marketing background. They must have shown the ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, and have the following skills:

  • The successful candidate will have prior experience in coordinating projects as well as promotions
  • They must have proven experience in an administrative role
  • They will have strong communication skills
  • They will have exceptional organization skills
  • They will have confidence working with MS Office and other software
  • They will be extremely time efficient and have the ability to think on their feet
