The Executive Director organizes and produces the annual one-day literacy festival, to celebrate reading and writing and to promote Atlantic and Canadian writers, books, magazines and plays. The next festival will be Sunday, September 22, 2013.
Under the direction of the Board of Directors, and reporting through the Chairperson, the Executive Director will:
1) Coordinate the production of the Word on the Street Festival in Halifax;
2) Coordinate marketing, promotion, communications, sponsorship and fundraising functions;
3) Provide administrative support to the organization.

A contract for services will be in place for the Executive Director; the annual contract fee is $18,000 per year.
