Examination Proctor, Teaching Assistant (Former Employee) – Waterloo, ON – 3 September 2013
Being a teaching assistant (TA) and a examination proctor at WLU was a great experience for me. As a first-time TA, there were many resources available to help me better my teaching skills and further my knowledge. The support system in place for teachers was excellent, and I felt I was constantly becoming more comfortable (while still challenged) in this role because of these resources. I worked with other grad students, and some excellent faculty members. The hardest part of this job was the learning curve, as it was quite steep. I enjoyed working with students and seeing the progress they made, as well as seeing the progress for myself.
Student Theatre Technician/Stage Manager (Current Employee) – Waterloo, ON – 23 April 2017
My workplace doesn't leave its employees to fail. They are constantly assisting and teaching, to ensure that their employees are well-trained. Very flexible hours, to fit students' individual schedules.
Theory Tutor (Former Employee) – Waterloo, ON – 20 April 2017
Professors need to assign tutors to students struggling in music theory earlier in the semester, not a couple weeks before finals. Can't be of much help when someone is so far under the level they should be at. Need to investigate more efficient ways of logging hours.

Proctor (Former Employee) – Waterloo, ON – 15 August 2016
I was mainly responsible for assisting professors to supervise the students during the exams. It helps me to pay attention to detail where anything shouldn't be overlooked. The management is very efficient since it is on call, we will know any shifts available in advance. The co-workers are all students, so it is less competitive. The hardest part of the job is to pay attention to check students closely and keep patient during the exam. The most enjoyable part of the job is to find out the suspicious behaviors.
Great student environment, professors and teaching atmosphere.

For a school, they were very odd about adjusting my schedule so that I could work and do school, and often scheduled me too early and I was often late because I couldn't get out of class early without missing important information.
One of the managers was also pretty mean, and she even talked down to me when I let out a "S***" but she walked around constantly dropping the F bomb.
It was so much fun working there though, and I always had something to do :)
