Position: Clinical Research Assistant 1 Volunteer
Site: Private Clinic
Reports to: Canadian Centre for Clinical Trials
The person in this role is responsible for being the first line of contact for all potential study participants interested in participating in clinical trials. Enrolls potential study participants by accurately informing and querying them regarding upcoming study possibilities.
Conduct telephone eligibility screening of potential study participants for inclusion or exclusion in all phases of clinical trials which includes but is not limited to:
Reviewing screening- criteria,
Providing an overview of the study,
Responding to study- participants preliminary questions,
Capturing brief medical and medication- history of study participants
Completion of required paperwork
Maintenance and tracking of calling lists, for the purpose of making outbound calls for study recruitment
Meet the individual targets set for booking numbers and no-show rates on a daily or monthly basis
Maintains recruiting accuracy of qualified candidates to meet protocol requirements
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of Medical Terminology and Basic Research Background
Strong organization and attention to detail and able to work independently with efficiency and accuracy; Self-starter and promotes a positive attitude
Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel is a Must
Requires tact and discretion in dealing with and handling confidential information
Demonstrates proficiency in English with good communication skills, and works well in a team environment
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
