I went to this place for a job even when I had another job in the same field and they say that you should go there prepared so I did I did some research on the company and brought it in thinking that they would like the fact I took the time to get to know how they run and that indeed I took interest in them and coming fourth and showing them that I did have what it took to work for their company but they didn't like that I had so much on them ,the guy got up and had some one else interview me ?? any way if you go there for a job I guess you should show up and play the duck since I guess that's what maybe they are looking for !

The teaching and emphasis that is placed on "Customer First" can be shocking to an outsider. i.e. Treat the customers as your guest Don't point to where something is, walk them to it and show them (whether it be by walking to the other side of the store or close by)
It does feel repetitive and excessive, but after knowing HOW to give exceptional customer service, you are able to easily learn how to GET great customer service much more easily and just about anywhere you go.

Whole Foods is a great place to work. Good culture. It's not an easy job. A lot is expected of you and you have to make sure you are withing you targets or you have to explain why you didn't make it and then be on conference calls etc. Whole Foods concentrates on good customer service. trying to go above and beyond. which is not easy to do everyday.
